The 10th update is the culmination of the e-Shram mission. In late 2025, the Ministry of Labour finalized the One-Stop-Solution (OSS) architecture, linking the massive informal workforce to the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme with a single click.
The Golden Promise
Guaranteed minimum assured pension of ₹3,000 per month (₹36,000/year) for unorganized workers once they reach age 60.
1 Core Benefits & Contributions
You pay ₹55-₹200/month (based on age). The Central Government matches your amount exactly.
If the subscriber passes away during the payout period, the spouse receives 50% pension (₹1,500/month).
2 Eligibility (Strict 2025 Rules)
- Occupation: Unorganized worker (Street vendor, construction, agriculture, etc.)
- Age: 18 to 40 years. (Younger entry = lower premium).
- Income: Monthly income ₹15,000 or less.
- Exclusions: No EPFO, ESIC, NPS members. No income tax payers.
3 The "One-Click" Enrollment Process
No need to visit separate portals anymore.
- Log into e-Shram portal with UAN & OTP.
- Click the new "Pension Enrollment" button.
- Auto-Fetch: System pulls Aadhaar and bank details automatically.
- e-Mandate: Set up Auto-Debit via UPI or Bank for the monthly premium.
- Get Card: A digital "Shram Yogi Maandhan Card" is instantly generated in your DigiLocker.
Flexible Exit & "Donate-a-Pension"
Exit Protection
Exit < 10 years: Get contribution + savings interest.
Exit > 10 years: Get contribution + fund interest (higher of the two).
Donate-a-Pension
Employers (like shop owners or households) can now pay the annual premium for their help directly on the portal, securing their future.
